| A history of the Company was compiled by two former employees, Johann Van Leerzem and Brian Williams, covering the period 1853 – 1989. This is a 320 page document and is installed as an MS Word document on a desktop PC in the Archive Room (a hard copy is also available). This is a particularly useful tool as rapid searches can be made to locate a specific subject within the document. | |
| An index has been created for some 14,750 archived documents including correspondence, reports, maps, publications etc. covering the period 1853 to the 1950s. This index is available in the form of an MS Access database, which also allows searches on subject, date, author etc. to be made. |
